What is PSIM and ESIM security solution?

The PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) and ESIM (Enterprise Security Information Management) systems developed by EDL Hungary Kft.formerly known as DTR – offer a comprehensive solution in the field of security technology and enterprise security information management.

The PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) system aims to manage and coordinate various physical security systems on a single platform. Such a solution integrates, among others, access control systems, automated barriers and bollards, building management systems (such as heating, HVAC, elevator control), and closed-circuit CCTV camera systems. Other components include computer dispatch centers, electronic article surveillance (EAS) systems, fire detection equipment, GIS-based mapping modules, intercoms, and IP-based communication devices.

The ESIM system goes even further: it integrates physical security with IT networks, HR processes, compliance and risk management systems, thus supporting companies’ strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

The role of the PSIM system in increasing returns

The integration of the PSIM system with ARES Security enables organizations to operate their security systems more efficiently while maximizing their return on investment (ROI). Various elements of physical security – such as video surveillance, access control, sensors and building automation – can be managed on a single, centralized platform, which significantly simplifies operations.

One of the biggest advantages of an integrated approach is the reduction of operating costs. By consolidating separate systems, the expenses resulting from the use of parallel hardware and software can be eliminated, thus not only reducing capital costs, but also making long-term maintenance more economical.

PSIM also provides real-time situational awareness: it displays information from different subsystems on a single interface, allowing operators to react quickly to security events. This not only shortens response times, but also reduces the possibility of errors and losses due to delays.

Further increasing the ROI is supported by the system’s advanced analytics capabilities. The analyses based on the collected data help companies make informed, data-driven decisions – whether it’s resource allocation, risk assessment or strategic planning. As a result, overall performance improves and security operations become more efficient.
